Introduction

These Terms of Service apply to the Quiet Aletheia website and to products and services purchased from Quiet Aletheia unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

By purchasing a product, approving a proposal, paying an invoice, or authorizing work to begin, you agree to the terms applicable to that purchase or project.

Services

Quiet Aletheia provides creative services that may include:

  • Website design
  • Branding and graphic design
  • Marketing creative
  • Print design
  • Managed print coordination
  • Brand imagery
  • Merchandise and product graphics
  • Presentations

  • Digital resources and templates
  • Photo, video, and related creative services
  • Project and creative coordination
  • Other custom creative work

The exact scope of a custom project will be defined through the applicable estimate, invoice, proposal, project description, or written communication.

Starting prices

Prices described as "starting at" represent the starting price for the described service.

Final pricing may vary depending on scope, complexity, quantity, customization, production requirements, timeline, and requested deliverables.

Any material additional costs will be communicated before the related work is performed or order is placed.

Payment

Payment requirements may vary by project.

Work may require full payment, a deposit, milestone payments, or another payment schedule communicated before work begins.

Invoices are due according to the terms stated on the invoice.

Third-party costs such as printing, shipping, specialty production, premium assets, or other approved project expenses may be billed separately.

Quiet Aletheia currently processes online payments through a shared PayPal business account associated with Soma Library. As a result, PayPal receipts, transaction records, or payment statements may display Soma Library or care@somalibrary.com. These transactions are authorized payments for purchases made through Quiet Aletheia.

Project scope

Pricing is based on the agreed project scope.

Requests that materially change the direction, quantity, complexity, deliverables, or requirements of a project may require an updated quote.

Quiet Aletheia will communicate significant scope changes before proceeding with additional billable work.

Revisions

Unless otherwise stated, fixed-price customized and custom design projects generally include up to two revision rounds.

A revision round means a grouped set of requested changes submitted together.

Revisions are intended to refine the approved creative direction.

A major change in concept, project direction, scope, or deliverables may be treated as additional work and quoted separately.

Multiple initial concepts

Certain services may include multiple initial concepts or design directions.

For example, some Business Card Design + Print projects may include up to three initial directions.

Unless otherwise stated, these are concepts for comparison.

The client selects one direction for refinement.

Multiple initial concepts do not mean that the client receives multiple fully developed final designs.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information
  • Supplying requested materials
  • Confirming that they have permission to use materials they provide
  • Reviewing proofs carefully
  • Providing feedback within reasonable timeframes
  • Checking names, addresses, phone numbers, URLs, dates, prices, spelling, and other factual information
  • Approving final work before publication, production, or printing

Client-provided materials

You represent that you have the right to use any logos, photographs, text, trademarks, graphics, fonts, documents, or other materials you provide to Quiet Aletheia.

You are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for those materials.

Final approval

Clients are responsible for reviewing final proofs.

Once a client approves a final design for printing, publication, production, or launch, Quiet Aletheia may rely on that approval.

Changes requested after approval may result in additional costs.

Website projects

Website services are based on the agreed scope.

Clients are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information they ask Quiet Aletheia to publish.

Third-party platforms, hosting providers, plugins, applications, domains, integrations, and external services may have their own fees, limitations, terms, and availability.

Quiet Aletheia does not control changes, outages, restrictions, or discontinued features imposed by third-party platforms.

Managed printing

Quiet Aletheia may coordinate professional printing for select projects.

Design fees and printing or production costs are separate unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Before an order is placed, the client will be given the applicable production cost for approval.

Production orders must be paid before Quiet Aletheia places the order.

Quiet Aletheia may assist with:

  • File preparation
  • Production specifications
  • Paper or material selection
  • Finish selection
  • Quantity selection
  • Proof review
  • Order placement

Physical production is performed by third-party production companies.

Reasonable variations in color, trimming, material, texture, placement, or other production characteristics may occur during physical manufacturing.

Shipping and production

Production and delivery estimates may vary by vendor, product, destination, and shipping method.

When Quiet Aletheia manages a physical order, we will provide or communicate available production and delivery information.

Unexpected production or carrier delays may occur.

If a physical merchandise order cannot be fulfilled within the promised timeframe, applicable cancellation, delay, and refund rights will be honored.

Reorders

Quiet Aletheia may retain approved artwork and production specifications to make reordering easier.

If artwork remains unchanged, the original design fee is generally not charged again.

Current printing, production, shipping, tax, coordination, or other applicable costs may still apply.

Changes to artwork or production specifications may require additional design or setup charges.

Digital products and templates

Digital products may include templates, guides, workbooks, graphics, downloads, or other resources.

Purchasing a digital product gives the purchaser a license to use it according to the Digital Product License.

Copyright and ownership are not transferred unless explicitly stated in writing.

Customized products

Customized products begin with an existing design or resource and are adapted according to the product description.

Customization is different from fully custom design.

Requests beyond the included customization may require an additional fee.

Intellectual property

Quiet Aletheia retains ownership of its original templates, systems, concepts, unused concepts, processes, reusable design elements, and other pre-existing intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Rights to final custom deliverables will be governed by the applicable project agreement or written terms.

Third-party assets remain subject to their original licenses.

Portfolio

Unless confidentiality has been agreed upon or the project contains sensitive/private information, Quiet Aletheia may request permission to display completed creative work in its portfolio, website, social media, or promotional materials.

Confidential information will not intentionally be disclosed as part of portfolio use.

Third-party services

Some Quiet Aletheia services depend on third-party platforms, printers, software, hosting providers, shipping companies, payment processors, or other vendors.

Quiet Aletheia is not responsible for changes to third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Rush work

Rush service may be available depending on workload and project requirements.

Rush work is priced separately based on the accelerated timeline.

Acceptance of rush work is not guaranteed.

Project delays

Project timelines depend partly on timely client feedback, approvals, information, files, and payments.

Significant client delays may change the project schedule.

Projects left inactive for an extended period may need to be rescheduled.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Quiet Aletheia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or speculative damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services.

Quiet Aletheia's total liability relating to a particular paid product or service will not exceed the amount paid to Quiet Aletheia for that product or service, except where applicable law does not permit such a limitation.

No guarantee of business results

Creative work can support communication, visibility, presentation, and customer experience, but business results depend on many factors outside Quiet Aletheia's control.

Quiet Aletheia does not guarantee specific sales, revenue, audience growth, search rankings, engagement, leads, conversions, or other business outcomes.

Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated as Quiet Aletheia's services evolve.

The version posted when a purchase or project is initiated will generally govern that transaction unless otherwise agreed.
